CONGRATULATIONS FOR RAFAEL & DEREN AS THE WINNER OF ENGLISH COMPETITION UNDIP SEMARANG (NEWSCASTING)

CIREBON, SMAK PLUS - Another proud achievement was made by the students of SMA KRISTEN PLUS PENABUR Cirebon in the ALSA 2020 Newscasting Competition, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Semarang, on November 20th, 2020. Rafael Girfan (Grade XI MIPA) won the 1st place and Jovanken Halim (Grade X MIPA) as the 3rd winner in the competition. "A very proud achievement for all of us. This pandemic condition did not dampen the enthusiasm of 4 students to seriously practice and prepare themselves for this competition. And...we got results like this! ”said Ms. Shinta after knowing the results of the competition.
Previously, during the recording she said, “Our target is actually more to provide learning activities for students to overcome the pandemic so that they are not too bored with learning. The most important thing for us and the students is to give our best, about winning and losing is a blessing for which we must be grateful "
"Representing the School Structurals, the teachers and all of the students, I would like to congratulate the students who have fought in this competition, both those who won first and third place or those who did not. Hopefully this all inspires other students that we can do something extraordinary as long as we are willing to strive and try. We are all very proud of this achievement” said Mr. Rusmin as Vice Principal of Student Affairs.
"Preparation took approximately a month. But the preparation was effective for 2 weeks. What drains the most energy was the recording part" Derren expressed his experience.
"We had to re-take the video several times. Thanks to Ms.Shinta, our mentor. Thanks to the technical team, Mr. Lukas, Ms. Agnes, Mr. Kris, and all the teachers who supported us" said Rafael.
