A Dangerous Golden Egg
Mrs Barthilow had twelve children, 6 boys and 6 girls. Mr Barthilow has passed away a few months after the youngest was born. Mrs Barthilow had to work harder on their farm to support her family. All the boys helped her on the farm and the girls worked in the house.
This morning the sun shone brightly and Mrs Barthilow went to the farm to harvest their potatoes. She took her hoe and swung it to dig the soil. ‘Tuc!!!!’… Suddenly her hoe hit on something harder. “John! I think there’s something harder over there” Mrs Barthilow screamed to his oldest son. “What is it, mom?” “I don’t know.” Mrs Barthilow and her son dug deeper and deeper. “Mom, it’s a chest!” the oldest son shouted.
Mrs. Barthilow is kinda confused cause never seen mysterious things before on her farm. She and her son brought the chest together to their home. But on the way home, the chest suddenly made them freak out. “Uwaaa!! There’s something is moving in that chest!” Mrs. Barthilow screamed. The chest fell after their balance was not stable. John looked kinda shocked too after her mom screamed. The chest becomes silent as they are shocked cause of the fell. Suddenly the chest accidentally opened and they were more speechless after seeing it opened. That thing in the chest looked shining and shimmering dangerous made them blurry to see it.
“Mom, are you okay?” John helped her to stand. “Yeah, It’s okay son although It made me freak out,” Mrs. Barthilow answered him. “Mom, let me check the chest perhaps it’s kinda dangerous,” “Are you sure? Son, you really don’t know your mom is a stronger woman ever you have been met before huh?” “Mom, you fell down before” “OH.. you were right John hehe…” They argued with each other like a child.
John came closer to the chest and check what it is inside. A golden egg that made them blurry to see it is inside the chest. John was nearly stunned over there cause he never saw a big golden egg as far from the regular size of a chicken egg. “What it is John?” “An egg mom…It’s It’s a golden egg mom.. OMG we might be rich after selling this thing!” Mrs. Barthilow fastly came closer to make sure what his son said was right. “Oh God… This must be kidding! We absolutely be rich after this and we needn’t to go to the farm anymore,” “Shall we bring this to our home and tell everyone about this epic, Mom!” “Yes, let’s go, son!” Mrs.Barthilow and John brought the golden egg home and told everyone about that.
But before they on the way home, they didn’t realize there was someone else checking on them. Yes, somebody else with the scarf closes his face and lowkey hiding at the bush. That guy also wanted that goldie egg, he had to follow them to their house. And making some idea to steal the golden egg from them.
At the night, the guy came over to their house and quietly came in. The golden egg still standing showed at the transparent closet. The guy steal it and go brought it away from their house. But on the way to the long street, the guy was startled to see the other way and accidentally fell down. The golden egg cracked after the guy fall on it. The guy was over speechless to see it cause the dangerous monster was out of the shell and brutally tore him. No one else on that street. The guy screamed but no one heard his voice. Unfortunately, that guy passed out the cause of his own sin to stole Mrs. Barthilow's egg.
After the frightening night, on the sunny day news streamed on TV about that guy killed cause of the golden egg. Mrs. Barthilow and her children were shocked after hearing the scariest news they got. They never know what is inside of the golden egg might kill them all in one night. Mrs. Barthillow gratefully about her destiny and her family were saved from the dangerous egg.
Moral of the story: Don’t ever claim a thing that wasn’t ours.
