Learning How to Learn

In pandemic situation now, schools have come back to distance learning (PJJ). In onsite learning, many students are infected by covid-19 viruses, when omicron variant spread out in Indonesia. Preventive actions are required to overcome the outbreak of the viruses to students in school. We do not predict when the spreading of viruses will be end, but we hope we should find the solution when study online.
Learning now perhaps has been changed, when technology has got progress rapidly. Everywhere is class, and everyone is a teacher. We have been provided pipes of learning, like Spotify, anchor, you tube, and another resources of learning. The problem is can the teachers and students use these facilities to maximize their capacities in learning from different resources?
In many cases, a lot of students in learning process only rely on what the teacher has given in the class during online learning. There is no initiative to enrich themselves from variation of learning resources. Actually, we hope this gap should be overcome by collaborative action among teacher, student and parents. The three important factors should change their mindset about learning that has changed.
Student is not an object in learning process but as a subject. When student as a subject such a way, we should give them a space to look for resources of learning as material of discussion in class, so that they are strongly envolved in learning process.
It is impossible to a student hopes transferred knowledge only come from teachers to fulfill his need about knowledge. In online class students need to pay attention the main thing in learning process, like the keywords from the teachers. After learning they need to develop their knowledge according the keywords that they have got in the class from another resources that has been provided in internet.
In another side, parents at home make sure that their children have learned from another resources and push them to do continuously. The paradigm of learning such a way need to be pushed day after day in pushing our students study independently, that is learning how to learn.
