Bruno Mars’ Jakarta Concert

Recently, American songwriter and global superstar Bruno Mars held a concert in Jakarta on the 11th, 13th, and 14th of September 2024. The concert was held in Jakarta International Stadium. The concert itself was quite successful. To no surprise, tens of thousands of people bought tickets to the concert. This can be seen by how hard it was to get a ticket. People had to fight in an online ticket war held in the Livin’ by Mandiri app. The concert itself was managed by PK Entertainment.
The concert started at 20.15 Western Indonesian Time. In total, Bruno sang 24 of his many songs. Of course, all of them were famous hits, considering he also has one of the best discography. He even once sang in Indonesian, singing “Aku sayang kamu” then followed by his song “Wake Up in The Sky.” This moment became very viral on social media.
However, there was some backlash, especially towards PK Entertainment and the venue. Firstly, Jakarta International Stadium, the venue for the concert, was heavily criticized due to its poor access for the concert-goers. Those who went to the concert had to endure severe traffic jams and struggled to find a parking spot. Not only that but going home from the concert also took hours as it was very disorganized. PK Entertainment also received criticism. Especially in viral social media posts, in which we can see they still sold seats that were obstructed. They also received criticism due to the lack of additional viewing panels on the first day of the concert.
This concert was also very popular amongst SMAKONE students. Quite a lot of them also went to this concert, especially on the second and third day as both of them were on the weekends. Bruno Mars is one of the biggest artists right now. So, it is no surprise that many Smukiers would want to go to his concert.
