"History Maker"
It was approximately three years ago in 2019 when I was having my final year exam in grade 9, as a scrawny young dream chaser I convinced myself to do my best in every last exam, especially in the Indonesian National Exam. Eventually, the journey had to be ended as I finished the National Exam in April, yet I had to wait for the graduation announcement in May. Although all the grade 9 students were having a long holiday before the pronouncement day, we were really anxious for the result.
I remember vividly on the 29th of May 2019, the graduation letter was handed to us at 11 am. I innocently opened up the file which contains the result from 3 years of my Junior High School journey. At the moment I revealed it, I was out of breath and shocked with the result as I got a total score of 393,5 in the National Exam. Soon afterwards, I showed it to my parents and brother with a huge smile and shining eyes on my face. They were all rejoicing to their fullest, suddenly they hugged and kissed me as well as gave me their highest appreciation.
Nonetheless, it took me less than 24 hours for me to know my unexpected achievement as my school principal informed me the next morning. On the same day, and out of the blue all of my friends continuously congratulate me for the accomplishment. Afterall, the most memorable moment was when two of my best friends, Jeremy and Francesco, suddenly appeared in front of my house to directly show their best regards for me and celebrate together with my family.
Two weeks after that, on the 15th of June, we had the commencement party when I was honored as the best student in my class and received malicious trophies, certificates, and greatest wishes for the future. At that moment I was being interviewed by some news reporter due to the achievements that I got following my brother's prestigious award with the same title.
The year 2019 is the best year of my life so far. During my last year of Junior High School period, I was pleased to know that my work had all paid off with the history that I made in my school. I was thoroughly grateful for His blessing and keen to face my next journey in Senior High School.
