Berita BPK PENABUR Jakarta - 20 March 2025
Bridge to the World 2025, an event orchestrated by P4’s Bilingual programme teacher’s is a fun and exciting chance for Bilingual students to express themselves in creative and principled ways according to Christian Character. It is an event where the students can transform their ideas into reality in their best efforts from the past Thursday March 20 until Friday March 21.
On the first day, the bilingual students learned many lessons from ATMI (Akademik Teknik Mesin Industri) Cikarang varying from the importance of saving the environment with our care in what we throw, recycle, and use all the way to the creative ways, artworks, pictures, and much more beautiful creations we can make from the plastic that we use everyday that are usually thrown out, they even showed us a portrait of Jesus they made off of the plastic used in bottles to show what kinds of things we can turn the plastic into.
We also got to learn about the ATMI team themselves suchthro as their team including Rm. Chris as the team leader. We also got a showcase of the campus building which was vast and filled with people striving for the same goals they had. Having many faculties and technology they use for things like heating the plastic bottle caps into a material that can be turned into a piece of artwork
After the lessons the students were taught to create artworks where the grade 7 and 9th made celtic knots that resembled Christian symbols whereas the 8th graders drew their favorite things about Narnia.
As we worked on our artworks the team from ATMI accompanied us to see the inspirations the grade 8 had from Narnia manifest in their small pots, and the 7th & 9th graders creating symbols of their faith. This activity made us feel more united because of how we did it while communicating with each other and helping out one another.
