The SMPK 1’s Bilingual Programme stands out from the others because it offers students a truly bilingual environment in which students receive almost equal instruction in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

The bilingual programme at SMPK 1 is intentionally designed to provide students with an understanding of all concepts using both languages, which allows students to benefit from an immersive learning environment.

Our programme is an ideal combination of Indonesian National Curriculum, enriched with some international curricula adopted from the Singapore Ministry of Education for Mathematics and Cambridge ESL (English as a Second Language) for English Language.

At grade 8, we provide international B1 Preliminary for School Test to measure our students’ competency in showing mastery in basic English and practical language skills for everyday use. The Bilingual Programme students can also enjoy the benefits of full cognitive bilingualism through its dual language delivery.
