CAMPUS VISIT SMAK TIRTAMARTA BPK PENABUR "Goes To ATMAJAYA UNIVERSITY"

On Tuesday, 24 September 2024, all teachers and officers of SMAK Tirtamarta Penabur went to Atmajaya Catholic University BSD. We gathered at Tirtamarta school around 6.30 a.m. and left by bus at 7.30 a.m. When we arrived there, we were welcomed by Melissa and Arthur who led us directly to the meeting room on the 5th floor. We enjoyed the ice breaking game before we listened to the speaker of the workshop. The topic is about proper and efficient communication with Generation Z.
Every generation has it's plus and minus values. For example, X-gen loves working and maximizing values, having work-life balance. Y-gen enjoys experiences and authenticity, keen on digital entrepreneur, while Z-gen seems to be very mobile & social, priorities on safety and stability. Recently teenagers are more stressed due to: fear to fail, procrastination, difficulties to adapt. They also easily get bored, and depressed. In order to motivate the teenagers, our students, we must fathom their problems (bad habits, inefficient learning styles, procrastination), and help them to understand their own strength and weakness. We must also cooperate with student's families to create mindful activities such as listening with empathy, no judgement, and loving compassionately.
After the seminar, we were invited to tour the campus. Atmajaya really provides good facilities such as laboratories for Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Communication (radio, TV and photography). In a short time, we have gained a lot of knowledge from Atmajaya University. We are grateful not only for the hospitality, but also for the precious moment to enlarge our mind horizon of modern technology.
