People communicate in many different ways. Communicating is about spreading information and sharing it with others, in spoken and written words as well as in pictures. The audience can be one person or a million. Forms of communication that reach millions of people at the same time are called mass media. They inc : newspaper, film and television, internet, magazines, photography, radio.
Newspapers were the firdt from of mass-media communication. Historians think newsletters and printed brochures about noteworthy events began to appear in europe in the 1300s. The first regularly published newspaper started in Germany in 1609.
