Donate Your Unused Items to Those in Need

English Day - 11 March 2022

As a result of the Covid-19 corona pandemic, we may be at home more. This moment can be used to clean the house, including tidying up and sorting items that are rarely or no longer used. The enthusiasm to clean things at home to make it look tidier may arise at this time because of the saturation that hits.

Not infrequently, when you are cleaning something, you will find items that have not been used for a long time but are still suitable for use. You may be confused about whether these items should be stored again or better to throw them away. But before you think about throwing it away, it would be even better if your unused but still usable items were distributed or donated to those who are more in need.

Now there are many goods donation places that are willing to accommodate your suitable items. Later, these items will be distributed to other parties in need. Usually they ask for photos of donated items and ask about the condition of the items to be donated. They receive clothes, shoes, bags, toys, and glassware that are still fit for use. But for electronic goods, if they are damaged but still have a selling value, they can receive them. These items will be resold at Barbeku (Barang Bekas Berkualitas) shop.

The proceeds from the sale are used to pay for free education for orphans and duafa also the victims of natural disaster. The paradigm they are trying to develop is that it is easy to donate, and not only with money but also in kind. You can also donate not only used goods but you can also donate food needs for them. This year, more than 2 million children still suffer from malnutrition, Angtu is one of them.

In this blessed month, UNICEF invites as many people as possible to multiply their blessings, to share blessings packages for malnourished children in Indonesia. So if you have a lot of used goods and healthyfoods, you can donate them. There are many places that accept donations. Especially in difficult times like in Indonesia recently there have been frequent natural disaster, many people may need it. Your donated goods must be of use to them. Besides that, your house that was full of used goods can also decrease. This year, let's clean the house with alms, disposable clothes, other used items and foods.
