Hi BEST Kids…
My name is Justin Jayden from 6C SDK PENABUR Gading Serpong. I want to tell a story about my extracurricular at my school. We have so many extracurricular options, but my choice is video making. I chose this extracurricular because in 5th grade when we were in online school, there were no outside extracurricular activity for example sports (Basketball, Soccer). That’s why since I was in 5th grade I chose video making.
Continuing to 6th grade, I chose video making again. The excitement I got from my video making extracurricular is because we use computer technology that I like. I can meet some of my friends who have the same level of interest in computer technology. And one more, the teacher is kind and fun. We like Mr. Riko who still teaches us about video making, he was so patient in teaching us, taught us when we are in trouble on our projects, and Mr. Riko likes jokes. Makes us amused and not bored.
Video making extracurricular gives us more knowledge about making projects with video technology. Our programs use Microsoft PowerPoint that we use since 5th grade. Every end of first semester, Mr. Riko gave us tasks to evaluate our skill in what we have got and learned in video making extracurricular. Sometimes the tasks weren’t really easy, but that’s the challenge we must face, and we must solve and finish it in time. This is what I like about school in BPK PENABUR Jakarta, even when lots of tasks were given to us, but we can handle and solve it. We never give up to solve our tasks and our homework.
Now I will tell about funny moments in my video making extracurricular. Sometimes boys will be boys, and when boys gather in one place, we will make noise. One day, one of my friend’s played with his computer in the middle of the session, he searched a song on YouTube and played it really loud until our teacher heard his song. And our teacher asked to him “Who is playing the song loudly?”. We answered “Jeremy”. But my friend is shocked and accused me. But our teacher is wise, he knows who played the song loudly and he advised my friend, the teacher always knows his students, who won’t do and who will do it. That’s why my teacher at video making extracurricular is one of my favorite teacher too, other than teaching us about knowledge, he can also teach us too about attitude. And what I learned from that experience is don’t lie to the teacher because of their experience that has already handled many children in his career of teaching, so he will know who will be lying and who will not be lying.
This was my story about my video making extracurricular. Extracurricular’s give us knowledge, experience, and refreshment. Besides studying, we have to learn even if it’s a little bit which can add us new things and skills. And if we do our extracurricular with passion and happiness (without push) we will practice and do it with all of our heart.
So BEST Kids… my advice is when you want to choose one extracurricular at your school, think twice and make the right choice about what you like the most. So, you will not regret it and can do your extracurricular with happiness and fun!
