Rafael. Grand Mass with Pope Francis

Pope Francis' recent visit to Indonesia in early September 2024 was a historic moment for the nation. This marked the third visit by a Pope to Indonesia, following Pope Paul VI in 1970 and Pope John Paul II in 1989. The visit had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic but finally took place over four days.
During his visit, Pope Francis held state meetings, met with President Joko Widodo, interfaith leaders, and the diplomatic corps. One of the significant highlights was the grand Mass led by the Pope at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on September 5, 2024.
The grand Mass was especially memorable for the community of SMA Nasional Plus BPK PENABUR Sentul City, Bogor. One of our students, Athanasius Rafael Syandana from class 10.1, was selected as one of the altar servers (Misdinar) during the Mass.
