Believing in God is one of the truths we think we understand until we are told, and then we discover that it is more than we thought. Faith in God is an aspect of saving faith, which is said to have three elements: knowledge, approval, and trust. All of these All three belong together, but without trust, faith is insufficient and indistinguishable from the faith of those who believe and tremble before God but do not repent and devote themselves to his demons.Trust in God is essential to the Christian life. However, that doesn't mean trusting in God is easy, especially in a world that challenges trusting in His sanity almost every moment. Nonetheless, we must trust God, and the Bible has a lot to say that will help us no matter our circumstances.
The first thing we need to understand is that we are commanded to trust the Lord. In Psalm 4:5, David urged his readers to "give rightly and trust in the Lord." Proverbs 3:5-6 admonishes us: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make way for you." Indeed, the Christian life is from the beginning A life of trusting God to the end. From the beginning we repented and believed the gospel (Mark 1:15), then we have been called to believe in God and in the Lord Jesus as the way, the truth and the life (John 14:1, 6). The author of Hebrews reminds us: "Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for anyone who wishes to draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he will reward those who seek him (11:6).
Everything about God is trustworthy because of his perfect nature. The Bible explains this great truth in two ways: first, it warns against the foolishness of believing in anyone or anything other than the Lord, and second, it describes to us his unique glory.
