It’s English Language Day 2022! Take a look at how SMAK PENABUR Kota Jababeka celebrated this day

English Language Day marks the UN English Language Day to promote multilingualism and cultural diversity and also to respect the use of official languages among the United Nations (UN). It is commemorated every 23 April which was also both the birthday and the death of William Shakespeare.
As a part of celebrating English Language Day, SMAK PENABUR Kota Jababeka held an event called “Funday Thursday” on 21 April 2022. One way, a fun one, to make English a familiar territory for everyone, a program consisted of mini games that was played in the classroom with every student, teacher, and staff involved.
All school members had their English skills put to the test as they played a fun game called “Hangman” to start off their day. They could improve their English vocabulary whilst working together as a class to reach the most points out of all the classes. This way, students and teachers felt challenged to communicate and speak in English. “The students are on fire,” said Leila, a student of 10 Science 1. They had a blast during Funday Thursday.
