English Speaking Environment
As a bilingual school, SMPK BPK PENABUR Singgasana maintains the importance of using English, both inside and outside the class. In this day and age, English is the international language of business, education and global communication. Therefore, SMPK BPK PENABUR Singgasana places a great deal of importance on developing its students’ ability in spoken and written English.
One means of doing this is by recruiting teachers who are fluent in English. Since SMPK BPK PENABUR Singgasana adopts the Cambridge Curriculum and its methods, it is compulsory for the teachers as well the students to communicate mainly in English—even in their socialization during school hours. SMPK BPK PENABUR Singgasana also offers the learners the opportunity to test their English proficiency through Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) and Pre (PET) level.
By conducting CAE, SMPK BPK PENABUR Singgasana learners are expected to become more proficient in their use of English in the future.
