This book, being a continuation of the Harry Potter book series focuses on the story that happens after the previous book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Likewise, this book is about the adventures Harry goes to every year in Hogwarts. Considering the fact that this is the 5th book, Harry is now in his 5th year. The story is about Harry, who is seen sitting in a flowerbed nearby, eavesdropping onto his uncle, aunt, and nephew of whom despises him. Even though Harry had already ran away in Book 3, he was told to go to his room by his uncle once he had been caught getting into trouble with his nephew. The rule of the wizarding world states that no magic is allowed to be used outside of school under the age of 17. Harry then gets a letter saying he's been expelled from Hogwarts. Once nighttime falls, he gets picked up by Sirius' friends, one of which, was Lupin.
It's called 'Order of the Phoenix" because it's a society, or a group of people that were formed by Albus Dumbledore (Headmaster of Hogwarts) This book has a lot of side-stories, but the main story focuses on how Harry can survive with there being the Ministry of Magic interfering with Hogwarts, and thus adding a new teacher to soon take over the school.
