This book is about a family who wants to have a pleasant vacation. They want to have some fun and spend some time together. They also planned on how the vacation is going to run. Although, they actually used a guide from one of those family TV shows. And then, the vacation didn't end up as plan.
First of all, they ran into an annoying family guest in the motel. Greg named them "the beardos" somehow. After that, they ran into "the beardos" again in a diner. But while in the diner, there is a contest to guess how much a pig weights, if you get it right, you'll get a baby pig. So, Manny decides to try, and actually won. But the baby pig is hard to control too, so the dad decides to kick it out. And their car's upper part are also broken and flew away. So their basically flooded by the rain. After that, they decided not to use the TV show recommendation again.
