Another student achievement this month was by Ditta Peyosa Br Sembiring for being the 2nd winner of the story telling contest in the event Pensi SMPK BPK Penabur Cimahi on Oct 31st 2019. Ditta is in 4th grade now in Bilingual Class
Told the story about “The Legend of Lake Toba”, Ditta captured the myth about how the lake was made of. She performed well in her traditional dress, and was able to deliver the story well and impressed the judges. The preparation took less than 2 weeks she said, but she really practiced seriously. She did it at school and took more practiced at home too.
This competition was followed by 11 participants from the elementary school students from Cimahi. This event is really good as an opportunity for the student to perform in front of other people and to improve their speaking skill too. Moreover, in the storytelling, they must able to deliver the plot of the story, the characters, the dialogue, the conflict and at last to conclude the moral story. Not just telling the story, they also must be able to touch the audience’s heart with their tones, so the audience could also imagine and follow how the story goes.
