P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) is a distinctive program within the Merdeka
Curriculum. For the first semester, our school has chosen the dimensions "Global Diversity and
Critical Thinking" with the theme "Unity in Diversity" as the foundation for this P5 program. By
integrating the P5 program with the Awareness Program, we encourage children to learn about
the differences around them and then experience these differences firsthand. The goals include
enhancing children's critical thinking about the differences they observe and fostering tolerance
toward those differences.
The theme of physical differences is explored in the preschool class, inspired by a guest teacher
with disabilities who continues to thrive despite their limitations. The K1 class focuses on
cultural diversity in Indonesia, specifically learning about the culture and people of Papua.
Through songs, dances, lessons, and creative activities, the children not only deepen their
understanding of Papuan culture but also develop critical thinking skills. Tolerance is further
instilled by visiting the Sekolah Anak Indonesia, where students meet and play with Papuan
children who have physical differences from them.
In the K2 class, the theme of religious and cultural differences is addressed by inviting nearby
early childhood education students to learn and play with children from different religious and
cultural backgrounds. The Toddler class visits Senior Living Sentul to meet elderly residents,
allowing the children to learn how to embrace differences in age, appearance, and physical
limitations.
Through this program, children are expected to develop a sense of tolerance toward the
differences around them and grow into children who are reverent, grateful for what they have,
and appreciative of their healthy and complete bodies.
