K2 ADVENTURE CAMP

To expand children's learning and play spaces as well as improve children's psychomotor abilities, TK Nasional Plus BPK PENABUR Bogor-Sentul City held K2 Adventure Camp activities. K2 Adventure Camp was held on Friday, May 26th, 2023. This event was attended by 21 K2 students. In this event, the students did many activities together. First, they started the day by hiking for about an hour. In the hiking process, students are trained to patiently and independently follow the path of the journey. Students also see the nature around them, such as cassava plants and various other plantation crops, as well as animals such as chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats. After hiking, the children arrived at a river. In this river, students can fetch the fish at the provided place. Even though some students looked afraid of holding fish, the children seemed to enjoy the activity.

After catching a large number of fish, the teachers and students go rafting until they reach the base camp, where the students clean themselves and have lunch together. In the afternoon, the students followed the service led by Kak Yenny. In this motivational service, the students learn about the brave Ruth. Singing together and listening to exciting stories revived the students' spirits after half a day of activities. After that, the students played some games. In the games session, students work in groups, helping and supporting each other in completing each given challenge. And then they cooked dinner together with the teachers and then had dinner together. Lastly, the students and teacher sang together in front of a bonfire, and the teacher announced the winners of several categories, like the most independence, caring, courage, obedience, and great teamwork.

These winning categories are also positive values obtained by students. The students learn to obey the teacher's directions, care for each other, dare to try new things, be independent, want to work together in groups to complete challenges and learn not to give up easily and keep going until they arrive at their destination. Another important point of this activity is bringing children closer to and increasing awareness of the natural environment through hiking and rafting. Children are trained to grow their love for the environment so that they also grow a sense of responsibility to care for it.
