Field Trip: “Cherish the Nature”

The excitement of learning in children's education is greatly enhanced when they engage directly with nature. With the theme “Cherish the Nature,” TK Nasional Plus BPK PENABUR Sentul City-Bogor organized an enriching Field Trip 1 for the 2024/2025 academic year at the scenic Kampung Wisata Pasir Mukti in Citeureup-Bogor. This lively outing included 81 children from Preschool to K2, with Preschoolers accompanied by their parents while K1 and K2 participated independently.

During the 3-hour adventure, the children enjoyed six engaging activities. They explored vegetable farming, learning about crops and harvesting ripe vegetables. At a duck farm, they fed the lively ducks, sharing laughter as they interacted with these playful animals. The children also encountered fluffy sheep and rabbits, feeding the sheep with kangkung (water spinach) and experiencing the joy of caring for animals.

A visit to a traditional farmer's house introduced them to rural life, while a lesson on the importance of watering plants highlighted how both plants and people need care to thrive. The excitement continued at an artificial lake, where they fed fish and even touched them, deepening their connection with nature. The day included painting caps, allowing for creative expression, and learning to plant rice. Though some hesitated at first, gentle encouragement from teachers helped them embrace the experience.

This Field Trip aimed to foster a love for nature and instill values like courage and curiosity. The school hopes these experiences will inspire a lifelong spirit of exploration in the children. May God bless their journey of learning!
