Rita Mae Brown, a feminist writer, once said, “Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where the people are coming from and where they are going.” This sentence illustrates the importance of language skills. Good language skills will help us understand science more deeply, relate to others, and even adapt to an ever-evolving world.

Therefore, as one of the steps to hone students' English language skills, the National Plus PENABUR Bogor Kindergarten is again holding the English Olympic event as an annual program. This program is held twice a year. This program is attended by all students, from toddlers to kindergarten. The English Olympic program was held for two days, namely Wednesday-Thursday, 10-11 May 2023. The 10th (first day) was held for toddler and K1 classes and the 11th (second day) was held for Preschool and K2 classes. In the first round, the process that took place was that students were given questions with the answer selection system a or b. Then in the final round, students will have a conversation by answering a number of questions from native speakers. On Friday, 12 May 2023, the winners of the English Olympic from each level were announced, with 6 people each with the highest points.

The English Olympics event acts as a stimulus for students to further hone their English skills. The questions can also train students' focus and concentration so they can choose and write answers properly and correctly. Before the event was held, the students had been prepared by doing exercises every day so that students were used to the competitive atmosphere. This is part of our commitment to help students develop their abilities and improve themselves by stimulating and encouraging students to use English in everyday life.
